In order to ensure that a newly developed sealing system outperforms the solutions already in existence, the new product must often feature a combination of properties that were hitherto considered irreconcilable. The tools required for this purpose are designed, developed and produced in the company’s own tool construction facility.

The seal inside the seal

When producing sealing profiles for door seals or trunks containing butyl, the butyl is often added in a secondary production step. The VARIO PROOF® product innovation developed by SAARGUMMI saves this additional step because the permanently elastic sealant is added to the sealing profile during extrusion process.

The special sealant and the extrusion process were developed internally at SAARGUMMI. The sealant is odorless and can be used in a temperature range from –40 °C to +90 °C.
